On the road

Why a nomad needs this

The worst minutes of a trip are at the baggage carousel when your bag does not come out.

AirLock locks the suitcase like any travel lock and shows up in Apple Find My, so you can see where the bag is instead of guessing — and show the airline desk.

Scapade

Why this one

Most travel locks only lock, and most trackers only track. This does both, with no app and no subscription.

It is TSA-approved, so US security can open it with their key instead of cutting it off, and it runs up to two months on a USB-C charge.

Tested on the road

A lock is a lock, but where is my suitcase? Especially when you fly far, through several airports, and at the end you wait for your bag. It doesn't come, and doesn't come, and then you start checking where it is. You're not waiting blindly: you can see it's still 500 m away, and then at last it's up on the belt. And voilà, there it is. Very practical.

How I test

Details

A lock that also tells you where the bag is.

AirLock closes your case like any travel lock, and shows up in Apple Find My like anything else you own. When the carousel empties and your bag has not appeared, you stop guessing and look at your phone.

It is TSA-approved, so security can open it with their own key instead of cutting it off.
