How to choose a mushroom extract powder
All four powders in RESTORE are made the same way. Each is dual-extracted from 100% fruiting bodies and standardised to a minimum 30% polysaccharides and 20% beta-glucans. There is no mycelium, and no fillers, carriers or additives. They are vegan, naturally gluten free and certified organic.
Each pack is 40 g, about 57 servings. One serving is ½ tsp, about 690 mg of extract. So the choice is about use: pick by what you want in the cup.
Reishi: the evening cup
Dual-extracted Ganoderma lucidum, traditionally taken for calm rather than lift. The taste is rich and earthy with a slight bitterness and deep woody notes. It is best with cocoa, chai and herbal teas.
Tremella: light enough for cold drinks
Tremella fuciformis is the skin-support pick. It is fine and instantly soluble. The taste is light, smooth and delicately sweet, and it blends into both warm and cold drinks.
Shiitake and Maitake: the savoury pair
Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) is deep, earthy and naturally umami-rich with a smooth savoury profile. It seasons and supports at the same time, and is made for broths, soups and cocoa.
Maitake (Grifola frondosa) is rich, earthy and gently savoury. It belongs in a broth as readily as in a cup, and is particularly good in broths, cocoa and coffee.
How to use them
Stir ½ tsp into coffee, tea, a smoothie or a broth. All four are food supplements: do not exceed the recommended daily dose, and they are not a substitute for a varied diet. Store cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.
Which one to start with
- A calm evening ritual: Reishi.
- Skin support and a powder that works cold: Tremella.
- You cook, even with one pot: Shiitake or Maitake.
A kit that works together
- Morning and evening — Lion's Mane in the first coffee (from FLOW) and Reishi in the last cup. Keep to the recommended daily dose for each.
